V2 AIR ASSIST - ACCESSORY BOX
THE ACCESSORY BOX IS A DIRECT PLUG AND PLAY WITH ALL V2 BOARDS. HOWEVER, A SPECIAL CABLE IS NEEDED FOR V2 R0 AND V2 R1 BOARDS. CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE A R0 OR R1 BOARD TO ENSURE YOU GET THE CORRECT CABLE.
What the accessory box is:
The accessory box is used with the Laser Artifex V2 air assist board to control peripheral equipment such as a chiller and exhaust fan. There are two circuits on the board, with a limit of 7.5 amps on each circuit.
The V2 Air Assist - Accessory Box has the following features:
The accessory box MUST be used with the Laser Artifex V2 control board. The box receives signals from the board that controls the operation of the various devices.
The version or model of your laser controller (KT332N/RDCXXX) does not matter, it is the same accessory box for all controllers.
The chiller turns on when the laser is powered on, and turns off when the laser is powered off.
The fan turns on however you want it to based on the settings that you select.
The pumps turn on however you want them to based on the settings that you select.
The pumps follow a similar operation to the upgraded air assist with a compressor, except that instead of using solenoids or throttle valves, you have a low flow pump and a high flow pump. When a job starts, the low flow pump turns on, and, if the air is enabled for the layer, the high flow pump turns on. Only one pump is on at a time, either the low flow or the high flow.
Ideally, the settings are set so that you don’t have to deal with turning on multiple components to get started, and then remember to turn them off when you are finished. Once the laser is turned on, everything is operational and ready for operation.
