V2 AIR ASSIST KIT - COMPRESSOR VERSION

Our air assist kits were designed to make it easier, more functional, and more reliable to upgrade your stock air assist pump to an air compressor. 

What the kit is:  The kits contain all the required components to automatically switch between low and high flow air using an air compressor. This eliminates having to pause the laser between layers to manually adjust air pressure.

How it works: Using Lightburn or RDWorks, the user can select either high or low air pressure for each layer, and the air assist kit will automatically switch between these pressures. 

V2 adds dual solenoid support for both Ruida and Ryxon controllers while implementing several safety features that protect your investment. After months of research and testing, we created our very own custom circuit board to provide the safest and most functional air assist out there. 

The V2 Air Assist Kit - Compressor Version has the following features:

• Contains all the required components to automatically switch between low and high flow air using an air compressor. This is useful for performing engraving and cutting in a single machine run.

• Provides a switch that allows the operator to choose between manual (switch on) and automatic (switch off) high flow air. In manual selection the high flow air is on while the switch is on. In automatic selection the high flow air is controlled by the laser controller setting. When the laser does not command high flow air, low flow air is flowing. The low flow air is always present to help prevent debris from entering the nozzle chamber during normal laser operation. 

• Air regulator & water separator unit for controlling high flow air and for removing water droplets from the air assist line.

• Current limit switch for RUIDA and RYXON controllers

• Fuse block for short circuit protection

• Bypass plug for existing wiring (No more re-routing existing wires, just plug and play).

• Outputs for DUAL SOLENOIDS (When the laser is powered on and not running a job, the air is OFF. No more parasitic tank draining between jobs)

• Outputs to control aquarium type air pumps (with purchase of additional relay box)

• Output to control exhaust fan (with purchase of additional relay box)

• Output to control chiller (with purchase of additional relay box)

Controller Based Board Selection

The control board is the same for both Ruida (RDXXXX) and Ryxon (KT332N) controllers. There is a switch that allows for selection between the different board types that limit the current (300ma for Ryxon, 500ma for Ruida). The Ryxon setting will work for Ruida, but the Ruida setting will not work for Ryxon. Ensure that you have the correct settings for your controller. The board settings are easily adjustable between controller types.

The kit is designed for ease of installation and most installations require minimal or no wiring changes. It is recommended to review the installation instructions provided below before purchasing.

V2 Air Assist Kit - Upgrade Components

• All items in the base kit

• Low flow shutoff solenoid (when laser is idle, no flow is present from the compressor). The solenoid is normally open (NO) and laser power must be on to shut off air. When the laser machine power is turned off the solenoid opens and allows air to flow.
